I have a crazy addiction to office supplies (so if you are ever in doubt on what to get me for my birthday, any kind of note pad, pen, or note cards will suffice *wink*) but I mostly like planners. I am not sure why... Maybe for the idea of having everything written down and organized. I can't use the calendar on my phone. I need to see things...all layed out. I have tried several wall calendars and none seem to have exactly what I need. So I made one.
On one of my many thrifting outings I can across an old dry erase board square thing. I marked everything and drew out my calendar (I am in search of thin tape to go over the lines because who know that dry erase marker will take permanent marker off a white board?). So now we have a calendar what has enough room for all four of our "events" and room enough for meal planning!
Next came the refrigerator. It was turning into a cluttered mess of school papers, drawing, pictures, random magnets, and at least three magnetic note pads (because like I said, I am addicted!). So over haul the fridge I did! Pulled everything off, found some of those magnetic picture holders, and gave everything a place. SO MUCH BETTER (even my AA approved!)! On three sheet protectors I labeled them TOMORROW, THIS WEEK, THIS MONTH. These are for Aaden. Whether it be homework due next week, something that I volunteered for at his school, when forms are due, whatever we need to know about the is upcoming (and it ensures that we don't lose any important paperwork... Like the paper AA needed to turn in for his book report...Ooops.). So here is everything for AA that is upcoming for tomorrow, this week, and this month.
Next to figure out is a system for chores that the little ones and keep up with and have fun doing. Hmm... We'll see about that!
